Wine Art Estate was founded by civil engineer Yannis Papadopoulos and architect Yannis Kalaitzidis — two accomplished professionals united by a passion for wine. The adventure began in 1993 when Papadopoulos started cultivating a small family vineyard at Mikrohori, a village in the Drama prefecture of Macedonia.
In 1995, Kalaitzidis joined, and together they created Wine Art Estate — launching their first wines under the celebrated Techni Alipias brand, which quickly earned its place among Greece’s finest new-quality wines.
The first part of the elegant, contemporary winery was built in 1998, with an extension completed in 2008, resulting in two beautiful building complexes whose parallel towers are fine examples of elegant architectural harmony.
