Domaine D. Migas was initiated in 1999 by Dimitris Migas, carrying on a longstanding family legacy in viticulture, tsipouro, and wine production spanning at least four generations. The estate is located just 2 km west of Tirnavos in Thessaly, in a place named Paleos Ampelos (“Old Vineyard”) near the Titarisios River — at 100 metres above sea level with mild continental climate and excellent soil drainage.
By 2001, the first bottles under the “Palaios Ampelos” label came to fruition, reflecting the region’s unique microclimate and terroir. In 2016, the estate introduced its inaugural semi-sparkling wine produced from the Mavro Muscat of Tirnavos, further cementing its position as a leader in Thessaly wine tourism.
