Dio Fili

In Siatista, between Kozani and Grevena in Macedonia, Dio Fili (‘two friends’) Estate sits on the Wine Route of the Lakes in northern Greece. A member of the prestigious Wine Routes of Northern Greece, the estate crafts wines that reflect the unique highland terroir of the Kozani region.

The vineyards are located in the area of Petrovo within the municipality of Siatista, at an altitude of 600–700 metres. The estate produces PGI Siatista wine from sun-dried grapes of local varieties — Xinomavro and Moschomavro — blending three vintages (2001, 1985, 1978).

French traveler Pouqueville described this wine in 1806 as Macedonia’s finest, and it has since received awards at wine fairs from Bordeaux to San Francisco.
