Cooking Lessons at Bioporos

bioporos 12.jpg

Bioporos Organic Farm is a 70-acre olive grove on Corfu, Ionian Islands, nestled beside the protected Lagoon of Korission Lake. The farm cultivates olive trees, seasonal fruits, and vegetables using natural methods — no industrial fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides — and also maintains a small beekeeping unit alongside sheep, a horse, a donkey, and poultry.

Traditional Greek Cooking Lesson

  • Farm-to-Table Cooking Class: Use ingredients harvested from Bioporos’s 70-acre organic grove to learn authentic Greek and Corfiot recipes in a beautiful island setting
  • Olive Oil in Cooking: Discover how Corfu’s exceptional organic olive oil transforms simple dishes and learn the techniques behind classic Corfiot cuisine
  • Meal Tasting: Enjoy the dishes you have prepared alongside the farm’s organic produce, beside the Korission Lagoon

In this cooking class at Bioporos, you will prepare a traditional Corfiot pie with fresh vegetables and knead bread using natural mother yeast, create “tzatziki” sauce, and ignite the wood oven as locals did in the past. While waiting for the food to be ready, a short walk explores how healthy food travels from farm to table.
