Kir-Yianni was founded in 1997 by Yiannis Boutaris, one of the leading figures in the Greek wine industry, when he left the Boutari Wine Group — the premium family wine company his grandfather established in 1879. The estate continues a long family tradition focused on high-quality wines that combine style with authenticity.
Wines are produced from grapes cultivated at Kir-Yianni’s extensive vineyard holdings in the two wine regions of Naoussa and Amyndaeon, on both sides of Mount Vermio in north-western Greece. Today Kir-Yianni, led by Stelios Boutaris, son of Yiannis, follows its vision into the next phase by dynamically exploiting the cornerstones of the Kir-Yianni philosophy: desire for innovation, respect for tradition, and true knowledge of wine from grape to consumer.
The private wine tasting comprises 6 premium wines accompanied by cheese and rusks, taking place in the “Yannis Boutaris Hall” for private use over 1.5 to 2 hours. Walk among the Xinomavro vineyards on the slopes of Mount Vermio and enjoy the magnificent view of the estate.
For visitors who wish to continue with a meal, a 20% discount applies to the à la carte menu price as well as 20% on wines proposed by WH10. Private tasting sessions are limited to a maximum of 8 persons and corporate events to a maximum of 20 persons.
