Askra Olive Oil, 20 km west of Thebes in Central Greece, is a vertically integrated family business engaged in the production, bottling, and trade of Extra Virgin Olive Oil from handpicked olive groves in the Viotia region — using only pure pressure and no chemical extraction.
The Lymperis Estate owns approximately 5,000 olive trees, an olive mill manufactured by Pieralisi — one of only three such mills in Greece — and a fully automatic bottling facility. Produced olive oil is immediately stored in stainless steel tanks with nitrogen to preserve all quality characteristics.
Visitors tour the olive grove, receiving explanations about the history and culture of the olive trees as well as the quality of the olives. During harvest season, visitors witness the full production process; outside harvest, they receive a detailed explanation of pressing and bottling. The tour concludes with an olive oil tasting.
