Located on the Ionian sea island of Kefalonia, on an organic farm in Lakithra, En Kefallinia is a Greek restaurant and farm that brings to life the dreams of two young people devoted to authentic experiences. Owners Michalis Koutsikos and Georgia Totolou share a philosophy of respect for nature and humankind, offering genuine tastes from grandfather’s village garden.
You will learn about the history of the organic farm and the ancient 1,300-year-old olive tree found in their olive grove — a precious treasure that adorns the cover of Klorane’s publication, “L’ olivier, une belle historoire au parfum de Grèce”. En Kefallinia produces its own organic olive oil from century-old olive trees, collects aromatic herbs from the farm, and uses fresh vegetables, yogurt, feta, and honey from Cephallonia as exquisite ingredients in its authentic flavors.
Participate in a special jam making course using the estate’s organically grown fruit — a seasonal cooking activity rooted in Kefalonian food traditions.
