Zoinos Winery has been located since 1974 on the slopes of Zitsa — a village at 700 metres altitude, 26 km northwest of Ioannina in Epirus. The area is the heart of the Zitsa PDO (1972) viticultural zone, with calcareous soil and steep slopes where the white native variety Debina and the red varieties Vlachiko and Bekari are grown — varieties found almost nowhere else in the world. The green valley of the river Kalama completes the breathtaking natural environment that makes Zitsa one of Greece’s most distinctive wine landscapes.
