Description

In 1991, the Dougos family began cultivating vines at the foothills of Mount Olympus in Thessaly, in the enchanting Tempi valley near the Tempi toll post. Today, the second generation — Thanos, an agriculturalist, and Louiza, a chemist and oenologist — continues the family’s commitment to quality and environmental respect.

The organically cultivated vineyards span one hectare of lush greenery showcasing 29 vine varieties, with breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Olympus, Kissavos, and the Pinios River.

Winery Tour and Wine Tasting

  • Winery Tour: Visit the Dougos estate in Thessaly and learn about the family’s journey from wine enthusiasts to acclaimed Greek winemakers since 1991
  • Thessaly Viticulture: Discover the unique characteristics of Thessaly‘s wine regions and the indigenous varieties that Dougos champions
  • Wine Tasting: Taste a curated selection of Dougos wines including their much-praised Rapsani and other Thessalian expressions

The facility spans 500 m² and includes a 250 m² underground cellar where red wines mature in French and American oak barrels. State-of-the-art vinification machinery operates alongside traditional practice, always mindful of environmental sustainability.
