Feréikos was founded in 2007 by two sisters, Maria and Penny Vlachou, on land in Ancient Corinth that belonged to their grandfather Dimitris. After international careers, they returned to Greece to invest heart and soul in artisan snail farming in the Peloponnese.
The name Feréikos derives from the ancient Greek for “I carry my own house” — an apt description of the snail. The farm manages snail production end to end and also processes olives, olive pate, honey, herbs, marmalades, and desserts. All products are free of preservatives and colorants.
