In the pristine village of Paranesti near the ancient town of Drama, Macedonia, ‘The Bear’s Honey’ (To Meli tis Arkoudas) is a small family-owned apiary operating since 1950. Nestled in the virgin forests of the Nestos gorge, this extraordinary location produces some of Greece’s most exceptional mountain honey. The facility is situated 80km from the island of Thassos and 60km from the forest of Fraktos.
