Located on the Ionian island of Kefalonia, in Lakithra, En Kefallinia is an organic farm restaurant that brings to life the dreams of two young people — owners Michalis Koutsikos and Georgia Totolou — who have sought to offer authentic experiences rooted in their love for nature and the land.
You will learn about the history of the organic farm and the ancient olive tree found in their olive grove — a precious 1300 year-old treasure that adorns the cover of Klorane’s publication, “L’ olivier, une belle historoire au parfum de Grèce,” which includes an article about the tree.
We produce our own organic olive oil from century-old olive trees, collect aromatic herbs from the farm, and begin the harvest just as zucchini, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, and other vegetables from our garden reach their peak. Yogurt, feta, and honey from Cephallonia, fresh butter of Naxos, fava bean from Preveza, and Cyprian halumi cheese are among the authentic ingredients featured at the farm-to-table restaurant.
Visit En Kefallinia — an authentic place wrapped in citrus trees, olive trees, and gardens. Walk among lavender paths, meet the farm’s chickens and ducks, and relax in the old-styled atmosphere of a traditional Kefalonian house established in 1954. Taste homemade cookies with fruit jams, tea, and juice, or find handcrafted natural bio products to take home.
