With warm greetings from the sunny Mani, not far from Kalamata and close to Kardamyli, we welcome you to the House of Bläuel — a pioneering biodynamic olive farm in the Peloponnese. The roots of the House of Bläuel are found in the late 1970s, with programmed organic olive cultivation starting in the mid-1980s, making it the oldest and largest cultivation program of its kind in Greece.
Bläuel’s headquarters are located at the Pyrgos of Lefktro, just a few kilometers from the beautiful seaside villages of Stoupa, Kardamili, and Agios Nikolaos. Do you know why the Koroneiki variety of olive trees produce the planet’s best olive oil? Find out here.
Upon reaching the factory, visitors are warmly greeted by the tour manager, who provides insights into the company’s history, family background, and the full range of products manufactured. Visitors are then guided through the factory along an elevated corridor with expansive glass windows, offering an overhead view of the various stages of olive standardization.
The tour culminates in a dedicated olive oil tasting session with accompanying snacks, led by quality control managers who guide visitors through the fundamentals of tasting and answer all questions.
Tours are presented in German on Tuesdays and in English on Thursdays.
