Gourmet & Traditional Honey Experiences at Axion Esti Apiculture Museum

The apiary tradition of the A. A. Dimakopoulos family begins in 1957, in Stemnitsa, Arcadia, Peloponnese. What began as curiosity about the society of bees evolved over time into a professional enterprise, with care and devotion passed from father to son.

Today, the family’s beekeepers use natural-biological methods to produce honey, pollen, royal jelly, propolis, beeswax, and all the natural bee products necessary to humans.

“Axion Esti” — a hymn to the Virgin Mary in the Eastern Orthodox tradition — best expresses the family’s philosophy toward the bee, which gives its products generously: honey, pollen, royal jelly, propolis, and beeswax, all beneficial to good health.

Visitors can complement their museum experience with either a Gourmet Honey Meal — a refined menu featuring seasonal creations with organic honey — or a Traditional Honey Snack, served with mountain herbal tea.
