Kappa Winery in Angelochori, just 15 km from Naoussa, Macedonia, blends tradition, innovation, and experimentation — always with a focus on people and the unique moments shared over a glass of wine or a fine distillate.
The journey began in the 1990s when Kyriakos Karagiozidis planted the first vines in Angelochori and began producing wine and spirits on a small scale. In 2021, Kappa Winery was born as his son Tassos and Eleni Charalambaki combined heritage and modernity into a singular wine experience.
Set on 10 acres in Angelochori, the estate includes a traditional distillery, elegant wine tasting rooms, a 4.5-meter-deep cellar, dedicated seminar spaces, and a retail outlet.
Organically cultivated vineyards span 70 acres across Fytia, Giannakochori, Naoussa, and Angelochori. Local varieties — Xinomavro, Agiorgitiko, Assyrtiko, Roditis, and Malagouzia — grow alongside Merlot, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc. Guided by oenologist Antonis Alifragis, Kappa Estate wines are crafted with minimal intervention and little or no sulphur. Xinomavro stands as the flagship variety, showcased as a single varietal and in unique blends.
Kappa Winery welcomes guests by reservation, offering guided tours and tastings in English, German, and Greek, with access to the cellar, distillery, and tasting halls.
