Karonis Distillery is located in the Agia Paraskevi district of Nafplion, Peloponnese, on the road to the legendary Palamidi Fortress — just two minutes from the town centre.
A family business over 145 years old, now run by Fotis and Yiannis Karonis from the 4th and 5th generations, the distillery produces ouzo, tsipouro, and mastiha alongside a distinguished cherry extract liqueur made with cherries from the Arcadia region — all distilled in modern copper stills. Visitors can also explore the Distillery Museum with tools, machinery, books, and company documents dating from 1880, including the first distiller and the original invoice of its purchase from France.
