Oenogenesis Winery is situated amidst the Doxato vineyards, close to Drama in Macedonia, in an estate whose imposing Macedonian architecture — with its fortress structure and earthy colours — recalls the monasteries of Mount Athos or the great Macedonian manor houses. The fully equipped winery is built as an elegant castle-house with a spacious courtyard ideal for al fresco wine tasting.
Its multi-level design is entirely functional: the underground level houses the wine cellar and bottle ageing racks, the ground floor holds the winemaking and bottling areas, and the upper floor commands beautiful views of the vineyards with a dedicated tasting and events space.
Respect for the environment, the flora, and the fauna of the Drama area are the estate’s inviolable guiding principles. The privately-owned vineyards of more than 30 Ha, located in the prefectures of Drama and Kavala, are cultivated according to the standards of organic farming.
