In Crete, the Politakis family olive mill has been producing extra virgin olive oil since 1950. The modern facilities are located in the Peza area of the Prefecture of Heraklion, 10 km from the archaeological site of Knossos, continuing a tradition that honours the ancient art of Cretan olive oil making.
