Rooted in wine since the 1950s, the Titakis Family in Crete now spans three generations of dedicated viticulture. In 1952, Tito Titakis founded the first chapter of what has become one of Crete’s most enduring winemaking families — a legacy of passion, tradition, and commitment to Cretan wine excellence. In 1975, his son Nikolaos forged new paths in Greek wine. In 1987, their retail store became a wine enthusiast’s landmark.
By 1995, proprietary vineyards were planted with Vilana, Merlot, and Syrah. Modern facilities were introduced by Nikos Titakis in 1996, followed by the Chardonnay variety in 2002. Maria Titaki took over winemaking management in 2005, while Tito guided the company. In 2006, they bottled their first labels from proprietary vineyards.
The Fabrika Wine Experience began in 2019, offering a unique wine-tasting space dedicated to guided winery tours and tastings.
