The Theotoky family is one of the most distinguished families in Greece — both the father and grandfather of current owner George Theotokis served as prime ministers of Greece. The estate covers 120 hectares in the Ropa Valley at the centre of Corfu, about 17 km from Corfu town, covered almost entirely by pine and olive trees — one of the last great ecological parks on the island.
Its main products are organic Theotoky wines and organic cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil. Facilities have been fully modernised while preserving the traditional appearance of the buildings, the farm animals, and the estate’s remarkable library — comprising some 35,000 ancient and modern books, maps, engravings, and journals specialising in Byzantine, Balkan, and Ionian Islands history.
