Taste the virgin olive oil in its purest form and infused with salt and lemon, in the manner preferred by ancient Cretans. Experts then reveal the secrets of proper storage, optimal usage, and health benefits of olive oil.
A short 10-minute drive brings you to one of the finest wineries in the region for a 30–40 minute guided winery tour. Discover the history, traditions, and distinctive characteristics of the Cretan terroir, venture into the cellar with its aging barrels, and then taste five varieties of Cretan wine — including Assyrtiko, Vidiano, and Malvazia — paired with traditional mezedes such as paximadia and olives.
The tour concludes with lunch in the charming village of Nipos or Vryses, depending on the day, where you can share your impressions of the wine and olive oil tasting with your fellow adventurers.
