Monemvasia Winery

DSC08408 (Copy).jpg

Monemvasia Winery was founded by G. Tsibidis in 1997 in Monemvasia, Laconia, Peloponnese, with a clearly defined objective: the revival of the legendary Malvasia wine in its historic birthplace. The winery is devoted to research, viticulture, winemaking, and the promotion of high-quality wines from a 30-hectare vineyard cultivating an extraordinary range of Greek varieties — Monemvasia, Kydonitsa, Assyrtiko, Asprouda, Mavroudi, Agiorgitiko, Limniona, Moschofilero, Roditis, and Malagousia.

The newly completed winery (2020) is situated at the 57th kilometre of the Sparta-Gytheio national road, just 10 km from the Castle of Monemvasia.
