Artemis Karamolegos Winery has been part of Santorini‘s winemaking heritage since 1952. In 2004, grandson Artemis Karamolegos took the reins, investing in a state-of-the-art production facility and privately owned vineyards to produce wines of protected designation of origin (PDO). Today the winery stands as one of Santorini’s most vibrant and fastest-growing estates.
The winery is deeply intertwined with Santorini’s volcanic vineyards — a terroir of unique character shaped by basket-trained vines and mineral-rich soil. With estate vineyards and collaborations in Kamari, Messaria, Exo Gonia, Pyrgos, Megalochori, and Akrotiri, the highest quality grapes are assured for every wine.
A visit offers an immersive guided winery tour — from tanks and fermentation barrels to ageing cellars and traditional presses. Wine tasting follows in the serene courtyard, guided by a knowledgeable enologist who introduces each wine with passion and details its distinctive characteristics.
