Axion Esti Apiculture Museum

axion esti beekeeping museum with old tools-Gastronomy Tours.JPG

The apiary tradition of the A. A. Dimakopoulos family begins in 1957, in Stemnitsa, not far from Argos, in the prefecture of Arcadia, Peloponnese. Using natural-biological methods, the family’s beekeepers produce honey, pollen, royal jelly, propolis, beeswax, and all the natural bee products necessary to humans.

Care and devotion were passed from father to son, generating an experience that bloomed into a love and passion for quality-conscious work.

“Axion Esti” — a hymn to the Virgin Mary chanted in Eastern Orthodox liturgies — best expresses the family’s philosophy about the earth’s most beneficial insect, the bee.
